Adult Education
“It is through others that we become ourselves” Lev Vygotsky
At Little Jungle, we believe that we cannot offer children the best opportunities and challenges to grow, if we are not prepared to grow ourselves. We spend a lot of time reflecting on our practice, across all areas of what we do; from operational organisation to pedagogical practice, safeguarding children to empowering them. There are many facets of our work that need to be considered if we are to provide the outstanding care and education to children which they deserve, so educating adults is fundamental to our approach.
To support this, we develop documentation based on our knowledge, experience and research in working with children to develop an ever evolving programme of professional reflection and development and are always happy to share our learnings with the wider community of professionals and adults through a variety of seminars, visits, advisory and consultancy support.
Some of the specific areas we can provide support on, include (but is not limited to):
- |
Developing a listening pedagogy |
- |
Developing a positive relationship with food |
- |
Transition to using the toilet |
- |
Encouraging positive behaviour |
- |
The importance of sleep |
- |
Managing allergens |
- |
Working with children with special rights |
- |
Safeguarding children in practice |
We are also able to support with strategy, operational or pedagogical advice and consultancy services.
